This is a movie based X-Men Role Playing game. The game takes place in the school. A couple of tiny details have changed, but yes, it is still the school. Yes, it takes place after the second movie. Yes, Jean Grey did die and yes, she is back.
The X-Men have rapidly been growing in number, as the mutant population is increasing at an unnatural speed. This caused the school to open its doors as a public school, but Charles Xavier quickly realized that he couldn't manage as a headmaster alone with such a large school, not to mention the funds he had were not enough, so the school went back to being a private one. However, extensive building work means that the school is now almost twice its original size, certainly housing more than twice its original students and capable of holding many more. Standard classes are now held, and the school has quite an excellent reputation.
However, this new found glory has led to even bigger problems, causing the problems between Mutants and Homo Sapiens to escalate even more. The problem is that regular people wish to send their powerless children to the school, unable to see the problems and fights which would so obviously result in school because of this. After turning down so many students, Charles Xavier is now known world wide as a racist.
Magneto seems to have disappeared into oblivion, though the X-Men know only too well not to count on this, for it seems too peaceful, like the calm before a storm.
Everyone is aware of the problems faced outside the mansion, but for now, most are happy to be so unique. There is one think lacking, however, one thing that could really be used...someone with the power to tell the future, for it is too murky now for anyone to feel too safe.

The concept of journals in the institute One day, for no apparent reason, Xavier was struck by inspiration. He wanted the students to be united, but how so? He thought about it for awhile, finally resorting to the internet as a means to find how. There he found a large online community of journals, which could be commented on and were highly customizable, and, as much as he hated to use the word, they were 'cool'. He gave each of the students a laptop, a journal name and password and told them to be civil. He then asked them to atleast update once a fortnight, and there would be punishments unless there was a good enough reason why it wasnt done.
There are a number of different types of posts in this community.
( Journal Entries )
( Email )
( Role Playing )
( Logs )
It has also become apparent that there is some confusion regarding the Brotherhood when it comes to these journals. Yes, Magneto did hook the journals of his own students up with the ones of Xaviers..

One. This game has no rating, which means that I dont mind foul language, gore, or violence at all. But it also means there may be younger kids here, so keep that in mind when posting!
Two. The odd mistake with grammar is alright, but tAlK lYk DiS n We KiCk u OuT.
Three. Dont kill another character. Period. Or I'll be forced to kill yours.
Four. Following that trend, dont play a character who is not yours.
Five. Stay cannon. This means, you dont go making Sabretooth and Wolverine best friends. This actually was true once upon a time in the wonderful land made entirely of comics, but its no longer the case (not even in comic-land) so dont do it. Stay true to whomever you are playing.
Six. AIM is everyones friend. It'd be nice if you used it. If its impossible, don't worry. We can work around it.
Seven. If you are playing with someone who hasnt responded for two weeks and hasn't given an excuse for leaving your character dangling, feel free to drop that particular part without an explanation or post saying where your character is going.
Eight. AIM might be an acquaintance, but Livejournal is your best buddy. It isnt required that you have AIM, but come on now! You certainly need livejournal. Update at least once a fortnight, please. We run on a three strike system - fail to update once, you get a warning. Miss another fortnight, and you can be replaced. Miss a third fortnight and you're out. Logs, threads, and anything else are not counted for the simple reason that only the character journals are checked.
Nine. A PB (play-by) is a must. No, not a playboy! A playby. It is a celebrity that the player uses for any pictures needed of the character. It is excellent if you can use one already seen in the movies, but not required. And by no means may you use cartoons of your character.
Ten. Keep OOC and IC drama separate, por favor ^__^ which also brings me to ask you not to join under false pretenses. Do not join to gather players for another game (has happened before in another game I was in - it was not pretty -_-) and please dont join as a character you dont wish to play as just so you can ask someone to give up their character (actually, this has happened in this community before. It wont happen again)
Eleven. If you show signs of having not read the rules/skimmed over them, you'll be told to read them. If you still haven't, you'll be removed and asked not to re apply.
Twelve. HAVE FUN!
